Donna McKenna is an established casting director and independent film producer. Donna is known for discovering unique new talent as well as recognizing the seasoned professional who has the desire to take risks and play against type. To date she has been the casting director on 15 feature films and 7 shorts films. Some of the theatrical released and DVD released films she was the casting director for are Wannabes, Mattie Fresno and the Holoflux Universe, Signs of the Cross, Draw, The
Town that Banned Christmas, Home Invaders,The Drum Beats Twice and The Big Shot- Caller.
Donna is very active in the independent film industry, her activities include a seat on the board of the Long Island Film and Television Foundation as well as being one of the organizers for Long Island International Film Expo. She is the host of The Long Island Film Makers Connection networking group which is held once a month at Five Towns College in Dix Hills, NY. In 2004 she was honored by the Nassau County Film Commission with the Friend of the Foundation Film Makers Achievement Award
Donna is currently directing, producing and casting the feature film "Under the Influence", and is involved in 3 feature films scheduled to start production in 2010. Donna is very passionate about every project she is involved in.
Following the Q&A portion, our guest will be seeing monologues, sides or scenes during the individual one-on-one sessions. Following your performance, the guest will meet with the actors individually for critique.
